The International Newcomer award recognises originality and technical achievement for an independent animated short film of less than 15 minutes and is judged by a distinguished panel of industry professionals. The winner will receive a prize of £2,500. The Winner for 2006 was The Genie in a Tin of Ravioli, directed by Claude Barras (UK).
