Karen Penman
achieved a first in BSc.(Hons) Media Production and Technology before moving to Newcastle to work at Superkrush Films as Production Co-ordinator. She has since relocated back to the South and has worked at SEEC as an associate lecturer in the Media department, teaching both FE and HE students and currently works for SEEVIC College. Whilst at Superkrush Karen was involved in the following projects: The Sound Explosion [Sony/BMG] 'Street Freak' music video, Letrix [Sony/BMG] 'Something Beautiful' music video, and commercials for 'The Life Centre Museum & Hayden Associates'.
Since returning to Essex, under the banner of Littlenobody Productions, she has gone on to specialise in animation. In September 2005 founding member Karen Penman enlisted Liam Brazier and the partnership began. To date, Littlenobody has completed music videos for Amplifico's 'Yeah, you can be my muse', ‘Interduvet Yarns’ for Hybernation and Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip's 'Thou shalt Always Kill' (unofficial). They also produced visuals for Sundown, Arctic Circle & Shoplands Festival, along with self funded animated short What Cassandra Saw.
In 2007 Karen Penman screened projects in competition at Bradford Animation Festival, Encounters Film Festival, Northern Lights Film Festival and Interfilm Berlin as well as Clermont Ferrands Film market.
When I grow up I want never to take no for an answer and always be creative. I love clothes that don’t match, my dog, my friends, being awake when the rest of the world is sleeping be it late or early. I hates spelling and grammar. If I were a biscuit I would be a pink wafer. I hum off key and like to talk to strangers.
